This climate-resilient, pollinator & wildlife frie This climate-resilient, pollinator & wildlife friendly, non-irrigated planting project will feature on Gardeners World this Friday. The place hums with bees; housemartins have moved in to nest where such rich food sources are found. It’s resistant to weeds and looks good all year round, changing with the shifting seasons. Could these ideas implemented by @bethchattogardens, a collaboration with @lanswoodltd, see a seismic shift in the way new-build gardens are planned? Looking forward to seeing @aritanderson explore the continuing legacy of Beth Chatto with the team on the telly!

Generous billowy planting on an autumn morning. A Generous billowy planting on an autumn morning. A sanctuary of a garden by @coralieestradedesign, captured at that point of the year where the structure and form becomes evident; grasses filtering the gentle light, and little pops of colour as the garden prepares for the colder months.

I cannot stress enough how much I adore & connect with this time of year. There’s an ache and a hope at the same time.

The last few weeks have been so very grey & gloomy The last few weeks have been so very grey & gloomy, that I have felt similarly so. Someone who chases the changing light finds it difficult to deal without it! I call this feeling, The Morbs - it’s a very apt Victorian term. However, photographing the sweet-shop delights of @bordehillgarden’s Autumn Border was a great mood booster. One fat & friendly robin, and a trio of autumn show-offs Salvia, Dahlia and Symphyotrichum, chose colour and song to awaken my sluggish senses 🫶🏼

Full supermoon tonight, forever reminding me of th Full supermoon tonight, forever reminding me of the excellent Lunar Garden by @quinquinquin and the fun we had with special after-dark permission for her garden design at RHS Hampton Court… Gentle, thoughtful planting to reflect & mirror the moonlight, alongside a white path reminiscent of the Milky Way…

I adore the Reservoir Garden at @bethchattogardens I adore the Reservoir Garden at @bethchattogardens; it’s so rich in texture, interesting plants and year-round colour & form. I love being immersed in it when I’m photographing the gardens - there’s always a lot of insect activity and birdsong, too. But one morning with my drone, just as the sun was rising, I went up higher for the view that the birds see. My pal @goodgrounding said that it reminds her of the structure of a plant cell - can you see it?
