Cercis siliquastrum: an ongoing obsession (swipe to end for evidence). The sinewy, dancing form of this beautiful tree at @bethchattogardens delights me; the leaves are, appropriately, heart-shaped. Pick a bench either side and drift away for a little while under its generous branches. The resident robins, bees and I are patiently waiting for this year’s buds to go TA-DA 💕

British Summer Time, let’s be having you! Ever gra

British Summer Time, let’s be having you! Ever grateful that I’d first met the luminous @ann_mariepowell through her work with @gazeburvill, and visited their display at RHS Chelsea to spot my photo on their brochure cover >>> which led to my discovering @lambandnewt, whose effervescent collections graced the tables, while the September flowers danced around in all of their vibrant colour that year >>> which somewhere down the line, led to AMP and @quartobooksuk inviting me to photograph her magical garden through the seasons’ changes, in every sense of the word 💚💜🧡 Some things are a very long and serendipitous story! But I’m grateful for the many colourful moments that will appear from now on this season; for colleagues who become friends; for saying ‘yes’ when it daunted me; for the paths that lead us to what the Japanese refer to as ‘ikigai’ 生き甲斐, which gets me out of bed on some very early mornings!
